Fauna Veterinary Care is a full-service small animal veterinary clinic that offers conventional and (some) alternative modalities for canine and feline health. We are a modern, state-of-the-art veterinary practice dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized, and transparent companion-animal care. We work collaboratively with our clients to tailor services to each individual patient — aiming to care for each one as if they were part of our own furry family.
We believe that preventative care is one of the most important aspects of maintaining your pet’s health across their lifespan — and attention to prevention is crucial from the start. When you bring your new puppy or kitten to see us, we will approach care as we do with all clients, learning more about you and your new family member to provide tailored recommendations. We’ll also focus on developing a good relationship with your new pet early on, so that coming to see us is just like going to the park or lounging in the cat tree.
Annual wellness exams help us evaluate your pet’s overall health, detect problems before they become serious, and keep them on track to live a long, healthy life.
We only give your pet the immunizations they need. We do not have a one-size-fits-all protocol handed to us by some corporation! Instead, we consider age, health, lifestyle, and possible exposure risks. We also listen to your concerns and plans for your pet before deciding what vaccines to give.
Many of our pets’ health problems start in their mouth. Just like in humans, plaque, tartar, periodontal disease, and infected teeth serve as a source of inflammation, infection, and pain, and we want to address these issues as soon as possible. We’re equipped to perform complete dental prophylaxis and oral surgery to help get your pet back to their old self.
We perform many routine soft tissue surgeries including spays, neuters, mass removals, and more. We also perform more specialized surgeries for a variety of medical reasons. During all procedures, your patient is constantly monitored by two trained technicians, and we take every precaution we can to keep your pet as safe as possible.
Alternative treatments like Veterinary Medical Acupuncture can help with healing and pain for musculoskeletal and joint pain, nerve pain, arthritis, and more! Acupuncture is a treatment that involves the insertion of fine needles into specific points on the body to stimulate the nervous system which leads to the release natural chemicals. These chemicals can promote circulation and help to decrease pain and inflammation. Acupuncture is a safe and effective treatment option for a variety of conditions.
We are ready and equipped to examine and treat your pet’s urgent medical concerns when they get sick. We are able to perform a number of in-house diagnostics to immediately evaluate for possible infection, organ dysfunction, and/or certain traumas. When it’s warranted, we can also refer you to a board-certified specialist to help manage your pet’s care.
Behavioral medicine focuses on the physical and emotional health of your pet so we can (hopefully) determine the cause of the behavioral problem (separation anxiety, barking, destruction, etc.,) and create a treatment plan to get you and your pet back into a normal routine.
